News of a
Hori-san to Miyamura-kun OVA adaptation may have only (re?)surfaced a couple of days ago. But according to a
Twitter update by
HERO - the author of the web manga that inspired this anime project - plans for the OVA actually date back to a couple of years ago. Still, he wasn't ready to reveal any details about it just yet.

HERO originally launched his Hori-san to Miyamura-kun web manga in 2007. Square Enix has also been publishing it as a series of compiled volumes, and they released the 10th volume last December.
As
ANN writes, the four-panel school comedy manga follows the "sweet-and-sour" adolescence of Kyouko Hori and Izumi Miyamura. Hori-san is the most popular girl at school, while Miyamura-kun is an introverted, eyeglasses-wearing boy.
