The anime project
Code Geass: Akito the Exiled has had its fair share of secrecy, as for the past couple of years fans had been left wondering what format this anime would take... Until a recent blog post by singer, pianist, composer and actress Ichiko Hashimoto
revealed that studio Sunrise is planning it as an OVA consisting of 4 episodes.

Each episode will run for about 50 minutes, and will receive a limited theatrical premiere at first, before the regular home video release on Blu-ray - very much like the same studio's ongoing
Gundam Unicorn series. The first part of Code Geass: Akito the Exiled should be released early this summer, to be followed every three months or so by a new episode.
The OVA's side-story is set in a.t.b.2017, on the European warfront. A Knightmare unit made of boys and girls from Area 11 (formerly Japan) are thrown into a military operation with a 5% chance of survival. They must rescue an allied unit left behind on the European warfront.
Oh, and I've just updated the local
Code Geass: Akito the Exiled trailer with a better quality version, since the crappy YouTube alternatives keep being taken down...
