Accel World Game Bunles OVA, Release Set

The Accel World franchise is expanding with yet another project: an Accel World OVA - a proper one, not to be confused with the Actual World shorts that will be bundled on each Blu-ray and DVD volume from the ongoing TV anime's home video release. This newly announced OVA will be bundled with the limited edition of the Accel World Stage:01 game, whose release date has also been revealed this week as being set for September 13.



Publisher Namco Bandai is also mirroring these announcements on the game's official website, and in its updated trailer which they re-released today. Accel World Stage:01 Ginyoku no Kakusei is just the first of two "accelerated world simulation" games based on Reki Kawahara's light novel series, revealed earlier this year for the PlayStation 3 and PSP, as strategy titles in which your Duel Avatars face-off in one-on-one battles.

The first game's limited edition PS3 version will bundle the Accel World OVA on Blu-ray, while the PSP version's limited edition will have it on DVD only.
