Checkpoint: Evangelion, Persona 4, Kenshin PSP

Some solid piece of Evangelion news, at last! Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's sci-fi mecha manga series Neon Genesis Evangelion will have its 13th volume released on November 2, 2012, publisher Kadokawa Shoten has announced. This may or may not be the manga's final volume... Meanwhile, Evangelion 3.0 is still vaguely planned for this fall.



The last month also brought a slew of utterly useless Eva "news", invovling everything from GPS systems and smartphones, to inflatable ponies, razor stands, guide dogs and, more recently, a collaboration with Japan's ANA airline.


Atlus has just announced that it will release Persona 4: The Golden in North America this fall. This remastered version of the PS2 role-playing game Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 is developed for the PlayStation Vita, and it will first be released in Japan this June 14. The game's Japanese website was updated with 3 new gameplay clips yesterday, by the way.




Nobuhiro Watsuki's historical manga Rurouni Kenshin is inspiring a new PSP game this summer, according to the June issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine. The news also includes additional details about the new manga Rurouni Kenshin: Cinema-ban (Rurouni Kenshin: Cinema Version) that was launched in the same magazine today.
