The K-ON! manga is ending again. The main series, that is, the one following Mio's group through college - as opposed to the separate K-ON! manga with Azusa, Ui and Jun who are still in high school. Apparently, kakifly will continue writing this separate manga with Azusa's fellow lolis. As for the main series, its "grande finale" will be published in the next issue of the Manga Time Kirara magazine, out in Japan on June 9.

K-ON! - The End

Also ending is the Mardock Scramble manga. Its final chapter has, in fact, just been published in the June issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shounen Magazine. Tow Ubukata authored both this manga (which had been serialized since 2009), and the sci-fi novels which spawned the Mardock Scramble franchise - which otherwise includes a cancelled OVA and an anime film trilogy. Still no release timeframe for the third movie, by the way...

Mardock Scramble: The First Compression

As for One Piece - no, no, don't worry, this one isn't ending just yet; far from it... Eiichiro Oda's ultra-popular manga has become the first printed work in Oricon-recorded history to sell 100 million copies. That's right: one hundred million! The latest volume (#66) was released this May 2, and has become the 5th consecutive One Piece volume to sell over 2 million copies in its first week.

Mind you, however, that these 100 million copies sold are just the ones tracked by Oricon since April 2008, when the company began publishing its ranking charts. The manga itself is much older than that, so, of course, total sales of the series are much higher, as well.
