Publisher Takeshobo has
announced in its Monthly Manga Club magazine that the TV anime series (of shorts)
Yurumates 3D will continue with a
second season. A broadcast timeframe wasn't mentioned at this time, but given that the ongoing first season is planned up to June 26, it's possible for the second one to march straight on from
July 2012.
Update: Indeed, it's starting this July, and it's titled
Yurumates 3D +.

The only details revealed about the second season of Yurumates 3D are that Sae's younger sister will make her appearance, and that she will be voiced by Ayana Taketatsu (K-ON!'s
Azusa). The story should otherwise continue to follow Yurume, an 18-year-old rounin - a high school graduate who has yet to be accepted into college. Yurume moves to the outskirts of Tokyo to study for the next entrance exams. She ends up living in Maison du Wish, an apartment complex full of aimless "veteran rounin" who have been out of school for years.
Yurumates 3D is created by studio C2C, based on saxyun's 4-panel gag comedy manga which previously spawned two OVA adaptations in 2009 and 2011. A
third Yurumates OVA is also
in the works, for an August 30 release in Japan.
