The non-Conan detective manga
Kindaichi Case Files will be getting a 2-episode OVA adaptation, Kodansha's Weekly Shounen Magazine
reveals today (via
ANN). The OVA episodes will be bundled on DVD with the manga's limited edition 3rd and 4th volumes, releasing in Japan on December 17, 2012 and March 15, 2013 respectively.

The original manga, better known in Japan as Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo, was written by Youzaburou Kanari and illustrated by Fumiya Sato. Its "Black Magic Murder Case" ("Kuromajutsu Satsujin Jiken") story arc will be the one adapted in this upcoming OVA.
Prior to this, the manga had been adapted into a TV anime series and two anime films between 1996-1999, as well as a two-episode TV special in 2007.
