Not wanting to say it out loud that Hiroshi Yamamoto sucks ass when it comes to directing anime, Kyoto Animation decided to kick his yellow ass out of the directing chair of Lucky Star, the uber-moe TV series that can usually cause nosebleeds and other bleeding habits in different parts of your body. From episode 4th on, the show will be handled by Yasuhiro Takemoto, known for his work on Full Metal Panic Second Raid Fame. The reason is pretty simple, Yamamoto has, apparently, not been that good at what he was doing, Poor guy, and this was his first show as a total anime series director. What a great start. Ganbatte.

I dunno, he definitely isn't popular for it, but I've enjoyed the series so far despite it apparently sucking.

If it's a better director, cool, but I can't say, based on the new guy's past work, that he's totally suited for the calm, unexaggerated chuckle humour that Lucky Star's all about. I fear it might become some contorted pile of crap.

But ah well, here's hoping.

This show is actually great, in an Azumanga daioh kind of way. It's funny and it has absolutely no plot. I love it, i just hope they ain't gonna change it in any way.
