You don’t see everyday Japanese animation movies in which people invest colossal amounts of money. And by colossal, I mean about 1.7 million USD. Miyori no Mori, Hideji Oda’s manga, is beining... taken care of, and by the looks of it’s homepage, we’ll get to see some very gifted people at work here. Like the art director from The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Nizo Yamamoto, the writer for the same show, Satoko Okudera, with the special appearance of Yuu Aoi from Honey and Clover, as the main character. From what I have seen so far, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time was pretty well received by all sorts of audiences, and, while we wait for our must_watch anime stockpile to get smaller in order to view it too, we can’t but maniacally chuckle at the thought of an 11 years old girl who is able to talk to spirits… and various other things.

The two-hour show will air on August 25, so keep close and see if the money and time invested here was worth it.
