This could be the news we've been unknowingly waiting for, ever since that pestilent Eva-phobia took over our poor lolicon souls. The potential cure, as announced on the Bandai Channel website, is a new anime based on Neon Genesis Evangelion, but with a chibi twist, called Petit Eva ~Evangelion@School~.

Actually, we're not sure it's 100% official yet that Petit Eva (a.k.a. Puchi Eva) will be made into an anime, rather than a manga series. But when there's "Petite" and "School" in the same title, we tend to ignore parts like "Evangelion", and hope for the best (i.e. chibi lolis in motion). We should know for sure which one it is in a few days, after the September issue of Newtype magazine goes on sale this Friday, bringing with it the full announcement of the Petit Eva anime-slash-manga.
