I, for one, have always been an “enemy” of Sony products. Don’t really know why, because I even own a PS2, I can use a PS3 at work anytime I feel like it (and I have done so a couple of times), but all in all, I dislike Sony mostly for the stupidity of both their marketing plan regarding its latest console, and the way they decide, sometime, to advertise their stuff. Remember, all those racist commercials?
Ah well, so far, the PS3 is not in its greatest shape. I can rant all day about the huge price, the absolutely crap games that have been released so far, but I won’t. I won’t, because someone else just did. Meet Tane Kiyoshi, editor at the gaming magazine Culture, and his latest book, entitled Why did the PS3 fail? He probably does a better job at explaining such things as marketing issues, or technology or whatnot, so if you are interested in the subject, you can
get the book.
PS3 has a lot of potential, I’ll admit. But the way it managed so far to constantly hit the bottom, even in Japan (where Nintendo is still king of the hill, thanks to the Wii and DS consoles), is actually pretty hilarious. Maybe one or two years from now, it will make amends, who knows, I ain’t no Nostradamus, but until I see better games and better controls, X360 will pwn it so hard.
Thanks
Canned Dogs for ze tip.
