Not a fucking chance! When hell freezes over, or when 12-year lolis become legal... then, maybe. But right now, there's no way a quality animation like Tekkon Kinkreet will be even nominated for Oscar, let alone win over some shitty American CG bullcrap. Or rat-crap, for that matter. But hey, at least it's trying! Much like Paprika one year ago, Studio 4°C's anime movie Tekkon Kinkreet (released in the US by Viz as "Black & White") is doomed to meet another tragic ending, and be left out before the race even starts. Optimism is overrated.

Next time they should think about submitting more "mellow" animations, and with more pretty colors - seems the yankees dig that. 5cm Per Second comes to mind this year...
