The time-travelling fantasy manga Inuyasha will finally come to an end in next week's issue of Weekly Shounen Sunday (on sale June 18), after almost 12 years since its 1996 debut in publisher Shogakukan's magazine. The announcement was made on Rumic World, a website dedicated to the works of Inuyasha author Rumiko Takahashi, and was confirmed in this week's issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday.

All in all, the complete manga has 558 chapters, compiled into 56 volumes, making it Takahashi's longest regularly serialized work. Aside from Inuyasha, she is also known for creating plenty of other series, including Maison Ikkoku, One-Pound Gospel, Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura, and the Mermaid series.

P.S. Best Inuyasha cospay ever!
