Let's see: we have a new gay anime, a new girly anime (same shit), a new mecha-bullshit anime, and a new made-in-Korea pseudo-anime. What a match...
Starting off in gay style,
Heart no Kuni no Alice: Wonderful Wonder World - a girls' reverse-harem non-adult game that was adapted by developer QuinRose from the classic story Alice in Wonderland - will be getting an OVA adaptation, starting this November. You can read about it on
Giapet, if you happen to share her understandable tastes.
If you do, indeed, then here's another one for you: the shoujo comedy / romance manga Skip Beat is also
getting animated, by studio Hal Film Maker. Once again,
Giapet wrote a bit more about the manga's story.
Next up, the mecha manga
Mazinger Z Z Mazinger is also
getting the animu treatment, with "old school" character designs and modern robots. The anime will start airing this winter.
And finally, that made-in-Korea "anime" mentioned in the beginning will be
based on the Gon manga - something about a cute little orange dinosaur. The South Korean producers don't expect to finish the anime anytime sooner than 2010, misleadingly making it sound like an ambitious project we might actually look forward to. But, obviously, we won't.
