Looks like another one of
Leaf's ero-games is getting animated, after the likes of
ToHeart,
Utawarerumono or, more recently,
Tears to Tiara (we're still waiting for this one). The next adaptation will be based on one of their older games, called
White Album (Howaito Arubamu), which was released back in 1998. The game's story, as retold by
Gia, goes something like this.
"The plot of the game is not the typical guy-must-get-with-one-of-several-heroines, but rather, the guy already has a girlfriend named Yuki and he has to manage to keep her. The trick is, the two of you both just graduated from high school and are going to college together, and are therefore too busy to spend much time together. Also, there are lots of other hot chicks, so I guess you have to decide whether to cheat on her and how to get away with it."
The news was picked up by Giapet from the Japanese blogosquid, and the annoncement reportedly originates from the latest issue of the Dengeki G's Magazine (out on June 30). We don't have any details about the White Album anime, but while waiting for them, I might as well lay back and relax with
a certain Beatles album...
Ob-la-di, ob-la-da... God, that brings back memories...Update: ANN further notes that a PlayStation 3 version of the White Album game is also in the making. And, as was already known, so is a
PS3 version of Tears to Tiara.
