The beginning of 2009 will bring along a new hard sci-fi anime series called
Viper's Creed, it was
revealed by scriptwriter Ai Ota and confirmed by Animax' TV schedule. A generic announcement, for what may very well turn out to be a generic sci-fi anime. The only hope comes from the fact that Shinji Aramaki - the director of the 2004 anime film
Appleseed - is also working on the project. So we may be in for some serious ass-kicking ownage, to spice up the story - which, by the way, goes something like this.
"The story revolves around the members of a private military company (PMC), and the uneasy tension between them and the regular military after a war that caused massive environmental destruction."
Aside from Viper's Creed, Ai Ota is also writing for
"an unspecified horror suspense project that will last one quarter of a year", ANN adds, noting however that she wasn't green-lit to spill the beans on this project. Yet.
