The highly prolific anime
franchise Tenchi Muyou! from the '90s has been known to have a new spin-off in the planning stages for something like a decade. Co-creator Masaki Kajishima began thinking about a "Seikishi Monogatari" concept even as the original Tenchi Muyou! Ryououki OVA was in production over 15 years ago. But it wasn't until this month, that the new anime project was finally
confirmed to be in production at AIC (Anime International Company), under the title
Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari.

AIC revealed a
teaser website last month, and a few days ago they opened the official Seikishi
website, showing a
picture of the main characters and a story outline - which, according to ANN, goes like this.
"The story is set in an alternate world called Geminar, where countries have fought endless wars with replicas of humanoid Seikishi weapons that they found in ancient ruins. 15-year-old Kenji Masaki, the half-brother of Tenchi Muyo! protagonist Tenchi Masaki, is summoned from another world to Geminar."
