We picked up the
news about Appleseed director Shinji Aramaki's new sci-fi anime,
Viper's Creed, just a few days ago. But already the official
website hosts a trailer showing some early animation sequences, or pilot footage as
ANN calls it, along with idle chatter from the anime's recent announcement event. I figured nobody wants to get bored with the blah-blah, though, so I hacked out the animation part alone.
Behold!
A thing that struck me is that one of the two animation studios working on Viper's Creed is Digital Frontier - the same guys doing that
shitty CG for
Resident Evil: Degeneration that we wrote about earlier today. Luckily, the other animation studio is AIC Spirits, whose most recent work can be seen in
Ga-rei: Zero; which is not looking bad at all.
Anyway, Viper's Creed should begin airing in Japan from January 6, 2009.
