Spice and Wolf Season 2, Episode 0

A special episode of Spice and Wolf, squeezed in between the first and second season, is intriguingly awaiting us at the end of April. Such was the revelation made in the latest issue of the Dengeki Maoh magazine, wherein it was written that this "Act 0" preceding Season 2 will be bundled with the next Spice and Wolf novel on April 30, under the title "Ookami to Kohaku-iro no Yuuutsu".



ANN's rocket-scientists theorized that "since the DVD is advertised as shipping "right before the second season", the second television season will not start before April". But I'll go on a wooden limb here and say that it won't start before May, either. It'll be a tense wait, but it should be well worth it - at least for those of us who loved the first season.

Meanwhile, there's still no word about any North American distributor for Spice and Wolf, despite FUNimation's furious cease and desist letters targetting this series' fansubs (among others) a few months ago.

Update: A "Dengeki no Kanzume" pamphlet announced that Spice and Wolf II will begin in summer 2009.
