Eden of the East Movie To Follow TV Anime

Even more confusing news comes by way of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine, whose March issue is announcing a theatrical anime movie for Eden of the East. The confusing bit being that it's not quite clear if this is a separate project than the previously-announced TV anime, or just a selection of scenes from the series, mashed together for a short watch.

The way ANN puts it, it sounds like Production I.G is treating the theatrical version as a distinct project. But either way, the Eden of the East Movie will only premiere in Japan after the end of the TV series - which remains set for an April debut. So we can probably expect the movie to follow in the second half of 2009.
