Nodame Cantabile OVA Before 3rd Season

The good news just keep piling up for fans of the Nodame Cantabile manga / anime franchise. After a 3rd season was announced not too long ago for autumn 2009, this week it was revealed that a Nodame Cantabile OVA would be released even before that, on August 10. Not coincidentally, that's when the 22nd volume of the ongoing manga will also be released, and its limited edition will bundle the DVD with said OVA / OAD.



The news originated from the latest issue of Kodansha's Kiss magazine, the one in which mangaka Tomoko Ninomiya returned to work after a prolongued break, following her pregnancy last year and other health issues a couple of months ago. But all's good now, it seems.

With 2009 pretty much booked up, and the first half of 2010 reserved for those 2 live-action movies, it should be a while before fans start craving for more Nodame Cantabile musical goodness.
