Great, just what we needed: even more confusion about the ever-elusive Suzumiya Haruhi 2 sequel - you know, the one that's not gonna be aired this April. Or is it?... No, no, no way! For a second there, I forgot we're talking about Kadokawa, whose dubious marketing stunts have wasted way too much of our precious wanking time already. And they shamelessly keep on doing so.

But if you still have some time to waste on this non-issue, behold a scan from the April 2009 issue of the Newtype magazine (cheers Zepy). Actually, only the bottom half shows the new Haruhi article, while the top half is from Newtype's April 2006 issue. So alike, yet so different... But even more intriguing is one of the attached interviews with Aya Hirano (Haruhi's seiyuu) - who says:
"I'm really happy to be able to voice Haruhi again! This year looks like it'll be full of Haruhi stuff, I'm really looking forward to how everything is going to develop from now."

"Voice Haruhi again"? Does she mean the 2nd anime season, or just the Suzumiya Haruhi-chan web-anime? I'm lost; but still fairly confident that this April's (re-)broadcast of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu is by no means the sequel.

Anyway, at the same time that the series (re-)airs in Japan, Kadokawa will also start streaming the original anime on its YouTube channel, according to a fresh report this week picked up by ANN. So if you somehow dodged the over-hype until now, here's your chance to surrender. The streaming begins on April 15, and each episode will be left online for one single week.
