Yotsuba&! was one of the manga licenses
announced by Yen Press at last month's New York Comic Con, along with the
Spice and Wolf manga (on top of the
original novels) and Crescent Moon Story. But even though only volume 6 of Yotsuba was named at that time, the publisher's
website now confirms that the next three manga volumes -
from 6 to 8 - are cleared for release in North America.

Each volume will be priced at $10.99, and the estimated release dates are as follows:
Yotsuba&! volume 6 - September 2009
Yotsuba&! volume 7 - December 2009
Yotsuba&! volume 8 - April 2010
The quirky slice-of-life comedy manga Yotsuba&! - also known as Yotsubato - is created by Kiyohiko Azuma (of
Azumanga Daioh fame), and has been running since 2003. The titular 5-year old Yotsuba is a strange little girl with an even stranger personality.
"Even in the most trivial, unremarkable encounters, Yotsuba’s curiosity and enthusiasm quickly turn the everyday into the extraordinary!" You'll find
more pictures of her in the local gallery.
Volumes 1-5 were previously released in America by ADV, and Yen chose to continue it from there. In Japan, ASCII MediaWorks plans to release the manga's volume 9 in August 2009. Too bad there's still
no sign of a Yotsuba anime...
