About a dozen new trailers surfaced over the last couple of days (not counting the ones we
already posted yesterday), and naturally we have the Tokyo International Anime Fair 2009 to thank for most of them. Here we go then.
Eureka 7 Movie trailer
Eureka Seven: Pocket Full of Rainbows, or Psalms of Planets Eureka Seven or whatever you want to call the upcoming Eureka 7 movie, has just updated its official
website with this cool
trailer - the same one that "leaked" a bit early this week. I also added a few screenshots from it to our local
gallery. The Japanese premiere is set for April 25, 2009.
Eden of the East trailer
Eden of the East has been a complete mystery up to now, so this
trailer - along with the attached story outline - clears things up pretty well. This, too, originated from a freshly updated official
website, and from what it shows so far, things are looking very good.
Hellsing OVA 6 trailer
Hellsing Ultimate, the ongoing OVA, is approaching the release of its 6th episode in summer 2009. The above
trailer is being shown at TAF, and let me just
bitch tell you - this one was a major pain in the ass to rip from the official
website. But all in all it came out ok'ish (just download the original file from
TVkon, instead of the out-of-sync HD stream).
Umi Monogatari trailer
Umi Monogatari was briefly mentioned here in our late February
round-up, and it's still set to begin airing in July 2009. I got this
trailer from
Gigazine, and while the video quality is fine, the audio sounds a bit weird. Some stills from it were added to the local
gallery; oh and did I mention that Oasis is
providing the OP song, "Falling Down"?
Nanoha The Movie 1st 'TAF 2009' trailer
Nanoha The Movie 1st reveals itself in this shaky-cam
trailer filmed at TAF, also procured via
Gigazine. Let's hope that a better version appears soon: fans of Nanoha & co. are in enough pain as it is, waiting for the movie's 2009 premiere.
Musashi: The Dream of the Last Samurai trailer
Musashi was pseudo-previewed in a shitty teaser last year, but Production I.G has finally sent out a more decent
trailer yesterday. Apparently only
ANN got it; that is, until I payed them a visit... So you can watch it locally, and if it looks like your kind of thing, expect the full movie in early summer 2009.
That's all, folks! Yeah, I know that's only half a dozen trailers, because the other half is a bit tricky. Some of the trailers shown at TAF 2009 are either not online yet, or simply not viewable around here. But you should have more luck, at least with the
very first trailer for
Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance (via
Gigazine). Also, if you can be bothered to install Microsoft's Silverlight plugin, you will be able to watch a
Doraemon trailer for the upcoming movie. And, with a bit of luck, the first
trailer for the recently announced anime adaptation
Princess Lover! (the stream from Animate.tv isn't working for me).
Update: Princess Lover! trailer added locally.
As for the remaining three trailers, for the time being we can only get a glimpse of some stills from them, once again via Gigazine:
some from the
Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas OVA,
some from
Taishou Yakyuu Musume (hawt), and finally
some from
Detective Conan: The Raven Chaser. Phew!
