Cencoroll Anime Film Back On Track

We hadn't heard zip from Anime Innovation Tokyo about their Cencoroll anime project that they started with Atsuya Uki back in 2006, based on Uki's award-winning manga. Until this week, when an official website came online, bringing some bits of info about this upcoming sci-fi anime film. The previous trailer is also available once again, so you can now watch it locally. Awesome stuff.



The story of Cencoroll begins as a sudden advent of an enigmatic creature pushes the world and the young heroine, Yuki, into the realm of surreal.

When a huge monster appears on the top of a building in an ordinary provincial town, the local Defense Forces go into action, and the people of the town are in uproar. Yuki happens to know the secret that Tetsu keeps a strange creature called Cenco. Being brave-hearted and naturally inquisitive, she becomes fascinated by Tetsu and his unusual pet, Cenco. A mysterious boy - who has control over the huge monster threatening the town - then appears and an unexpected battle begins. Who do they fight for? Who are they? By getting involved with a battle, how is Yuki's fate going to be?

With some luck, we might see the project come to full-length fruition by the end of this year.
