Maihime Renpuuden Anime Rumored

An unconfirmed rumor creeping out from the depths of 2ch (via AnimeSuki) claims that a girly light novel series going by the name of Maihime Renpuuden will receive an anime adaptation. The news lends itself some credibility by providing an early staff and cast listing - which includes director Goro Taniguchi (Code Geass, Planetes - plus the newly announced 4th Kimba anime), character designer Takahiro Kimura (Code Geass), and also names Satelight as the anime's production studio.



The shoujo fantasy novels Maihime Renpuuden were originally authored by Kunoe Miyama and illustrated by Rei Touma, and so far the series includes 6 volumes. That about covers it for now, but a more official confirmation would certainly bode well.
