Gundam 00 Movie Announced For 2010 [Update]

Another anime ending today, another follow-up announcement. The second season of Gundam 00 had its final episode aired today in Japan, and after the grand finale, a message revealed the production of a Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Movie. It should be coming out at some point in 2010, as long as it won't disappear along the way - like that Gundam Seed movie announced three years ago, which has yet to materialize.



It's also said that the movie's announcement was followed by a showing of the planet Jupiter, accompanied by the tagline "The Childhood of Humankind Ends". But since I'm not exactly a Gundam fan, I'll let you decipher its meaning.

As a final curiosity, ANN observes that the new anime taking over Gundam 00's timeslot on Sundays at 5:00 p.m. will be Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - starting a week from now, on April 5.

Update: Today I came across a Nico Nico video showing the final segment of episode 25. Along with the obvious spoilers, it also includes the Gundam 00 movie's announcement.
