And yet another anime series joins the "recently-ended-but-not-quite" club today, with the
announcement that
Stitch! will continue with a
second season in autumn 2009. Studio Madhouse will once again be in charge of animating it, loosely based on Disney's 2002 film "Lilo & Stitch!".

That's everything there is to know about it (not that any more would be needed), so for the remaining filler text, I'll just copy-paste ANN's brief description of the first Stitch! anime.
"Whereas the previous Lilo & Stitch! sequels co-starred a Hawaiian girl named Lilo, Madhouse's Stitch! series is based in a fictional island in southern Japan with a Japanese heroine named Yuuna. The title character Stitch, a runaway alien test subject, remains largely unchanged in Madhouse's version."
