A new original anime project titled Ano Natsu de Matteru
is being announced on the cover
of the latest Megami Magazine, with a full-page illustration showing the anime's two lead female characters - Ichika Takatsuki and Remon Yamano - not sure yet which one's which; nor what format will the anime take, but presumably we're looking at a TV anime series.
What makes this upcoming project special is that it's coming from (...) Continue reading 'New Anime From Onegai... Creators'...
Three years ago, the Diet of Japan was faced with a petition
for a new, harsher law against child pornography, that would have also incriminated 2D materials such as anime, manga and eroge. At that time, the Diet chose
to "investigate" (a.k.a. ignore) the matter for three years - and all was good... until now. But time's up, and Japan's pesky Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) is once again pushing
for such a legislation, as they did back then.
In their latest anti-loli crusade, the LDP - together with their usual coalition partners (...) Continue reading 'Japan's 2D Loli Ban Threatens Nation, Again'...

Some interesting gaming news bits this morning, and to start off with the bad one - the PS3 and PSP (non-ero) versions of Fortune Arterial
, which were supposed to come out later this year, have been cancelled
due to "various reasons" cited by developer August and publisher Kadokawa Shoten. The game was originally released for the PC in 2008, and was adapted into a TV anime
last autumn plus an OVA
earlier this year.
Moving on to brighter topics, a Famitsu report (via Andriasang
) is finally clearing up (...) Continue reading 'Checkpoint: Fortune Arterial, Robotics, FF Type-0'...
Hardly a shocker, this one. The ongoing TV anime series Fairy Tail
is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon, as a third year of airing is being confirmed
in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine. With this, the anime will be entering the "Tenroujima" story arc from Hiro Mashima's shounen action manga on which the anime is based.
And with this glorious copy-pasting of last year's confirmation
of Fairy Tail's second year (...) Continue reading 'Fairy Tail Anime Continues With 3rd Year'...
A new anime project tied to the Fafner
franchise is being announced on said anime's official website
) today. It's titled Kiyasu Kohei no Sekai
(Kohei Kiyasu's World), as it will be written and directed by voice actor Kohei Kiyasu, from his "unique view of the world". Kiyasu previously voiced Fafner's Soushi Minashiro character throughout the franchise, so... no idea whatsoever where they're going with this one! Or whether or not it's a separate project from the Fafner sequel
anime that was announced last month.
The "next season of Code Geass
" - presumably the (...) Continue reading 'Checkpoint: Fafner, Code Geass, Copihan, Geneino'...

Before I get down to the boring stuff (more or less), let me just point out the latest pick for Animekon's "loli of the month" - Rin Kaga
, the silent 6-year-old girl from the TV anime series Usagi Drop
(Bunny Drop), which began airing in Japan and simulcasting on Crunchyroll close to a month ago. And if this isn't cute enough for you, then... hell, go hug a Chiyo-chan
dakimakura or something! But first, be a good papa and vote for her loliness
Although the new Hunter x Hunter
TV anime series was silently added to the local (...) Continue reading 'Checkpoint: Loli, Hunter x Hunter, Sekakoi 2, Shana'...
from Shueisha's Super Dash Bunko magazine reveals today that the light novel series Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai!
is getting an anime adaptation, of some yet-to-be-specified format (but presumably a TV anime series), as well as two manga adaptations - to be serialized in the Jump Square and Cookie magazines starting this August.
The original light novels' title translates as "Listen to me girls, I am your father!" (I dare (...) Continue reading 'Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! Novels Get Anime'...
