No worries about April Fools' for this one, it's official: a To Love-Ru Darkness anime is in the works, based on the spin-off / sequel manga of the same title, written by Saki Hasemi and illustrated by Kentaro Yabuki. The announcement comes from the May issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine (scan), and it says that studio Xebec is once again animating this new project - of an unknown format and release timeframe, for now.

Update: Follow-up story: it's a TV anime.
Update #2: Follow-up story: or maybe not...

By now it's April 1 in Japan, so whatever "announcements" you read for the remainder of this weekend, take them with limited enthusiasm and unlimited skepticism... Having said that, a Japanese fansite is "reporting" that the PS3 game Tales of Xillia is getting an OVA adaptation from studio ufotable. They claim-slash-joke that the anime will have 4 volumes, with the first one releasing this autumn.

Kadokawa's Asuka Ciel magazine writes that the OVA is planned as a DVD bundle with the 16th volume of Shungiku Nakamura's boys-love manga, in celebration of the series' 10th anniversary. The OVA will feature all three main couples from the manga: Junjo Romantica, Junjou Egoist, and Junjou Terrorist.

Whether or not related to today's opening of the 2012 Anime Contents Expo (ACE) - Japan's new "king of anime shows", following the decay of TAF - several upcoming anime projects have revealed their key visuals this weekend. The most alluring of them, I'd say, is the one pictured below, for this summer's TV anime Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai.. It's about a guy who lost his "erotic spirit" by making a contract with a beautiful Goddess of Death. Tragic...

A game adaptation of the upcoming anime Saint Seiya Omega, for an unnamed platform, has been announced for a Fall 2012 release by Namco Bandai. The publisher shared what appears to be an in-game (or at least "in-engine") screenshot, but other specifics about the game were not detailed at this time.

The TV anime adaptation Code:Breaker sure is taking its sweet time to unveil its details. Even though it was first announced back in September, only now we find out which studio is animating it - Kinema Citrus - along with the names of several staffers, headed by director Yasuhiro Irie (FMA Brotherhood), and one sole voice actor: Kenichi Suzumura.

This Friday, March 30, the Noitamina website should officially reveal the second anime that will be aired during its popular late-night programming block from July, alongside the recently announced anime sequel Moyashimon Returns. The website's coders, however, may have let the cat out of the bag a bit early, by leaving the "rendezvous" name in the source code, as an ID for the "mystery" anime's cell on the page.
