After today's database maintenance here on Animekon (checking the upcoming projects for updated details, dates and such), it turns out that the entire July 2012 TV anime season
is now fully planned - barring any last-minute announcements of new anime series that might yet be made in the following couple of weeks. So, by all means, feel free to inspect the local Release Dates

An explosion of tweets was triggered by the ending credits of the Persona 4 The Animation: The Factor of Hope
compilation movie, which premiered in Japan this June 9. The anime film ended with a short clip announcing
that a theatrical film version of the Persona 3 game is in the making. It will presumably be an anime adaptation (i.e. not live-action or 3D CG), given that the clip featured the game's protagonist in a traditional 2D animation.
We'll have to wait some more, to find out when to expect this Persona 3 movie

The 17th compiled volume of the Chihayafuru
manga is coming out in Japan next week, on June 13, all nicely wrapped in an "obi" strip announcing
that a second TV anime series is in the making. Studio Madhouse will presumably continue to work on it, as it did with the first season that aired between October 2011 and March 2012. The wraparound jacket band doesn't give out any timeframe for Chihayafuru 2
's release, though.

A highly intriguing multimedia project has just been announced by a group of producers that include anime studio Madhouse, ASCII Media Works, Aniplex and Kadokawa Shoten. The project's dedicated official website
reveals its title to be Arata-naru Sekai
(New World), with an overall sci-fi time-travelling story whose various aspects - future, past and present - will each be depicted in a different format: anime, manga and novel, respectively.

Shiro's slice-of-life mountaineering manga Yama no Susume
has yet to even have its first compiled volume released in Japan, this June 12, and already an anime adaptation is being announced
for it. It will be a TV anime series, with studio 8bit working on it for a 2013 launch. The studio's other upcoming anime project is Busou Shinki
(airing from October).

The non-Conan detective manga Kindaichi Case Files
will be getting a 2-episode OVA adaptation, Kodansha's Weekly Shounen Magazine reveals
today (via ANN
). The OVA episodes will be bundled on DVD with the manga's limited edition 3rd and 4th volumes, releasing in Japan on December 17, 2012 and March 15, 2013 respectively.

Publisher Takeshobo has announced
in its Monthly Manga Club magazine that the TV anime series (of shorts) Yurumates 3D
will continue with a second season
. A broadcast timeframe wasn't mentioned at this time, but given that the ongoing first season is planned up to June 26, it's possible for the second one to march straight on from July 2012
Indeed, it's starting this July, and it's titled Yurumates 3D +
