Following either an unexpected hype from the loving and horny fan communities, either an unexpected package of hate from the pitchforks_at_hand opposition, Rozen Maiden, the lolicious show filled with cute, yet deadly underaged dolls, is making it's way to the PS2 in a full fledged fighting game, entitled Rozen Maiden: Geppetto Garden. On March 22nd, avid slaves of Suiseiseki and Co. will have to empty no less than 7.140 yen for the retail, regular version, while the special version, including a limited edition timepiece, will fly around 9.240 yen. We still don't know if this game will (ever) be localized in Europe (and why not, there are certainly lots of desu freaks here too), but I, myself, am hoping for some Hina Ichigo pantsu DVD special naked edition to follow up soon. The folks over at Goo are currently hosting some screenies, if you care to take a look. Meanwhile, I shall go and desecrate someone's Rosa Mystica, just for the sake of it, and you can do your thing watching killer desu-chan here.

Putting together "Shonen Jump" and "dying" in the same title does not bode well for manga fans, I imagine. But fear not, this isn't about the Weekly Shonen Jump, nor about the American one - two of its more popular variations. As ANN reported last night, Japanese publisher Shueisha will cease publication of their Monthly Shonen Jump magazine this summer, due to poor sales. And by "poor sales", they mean about 380,000 copies a month (and to think that I used to write for a magazine that couldn't even sell 20,000 copies a month... and that's actually great where I come from!).

The last (July) issue will hit newsstands on June 6, and around that same time Shueisha will reportedly start a new magazine. It's not yet known what manga titles it will feature, but it will probably take over some of those from Monthly Shonen Jump - which is currently serializing titles such as Claymore, Beet the Vandel Buster, Kotokuri, Kuroi Love Letter, Anoa no Mori, and Gag Manga Biyori.

Other than Claymore, none of these ring a bell. And even that one, I'm not particularly familiar with, so no tears shed here. Then again, we wouldn't cry even if the Naruto manga from Weekly Shonen Jump were to be terminated. On the contrary! Anyway, a Claymore anime series is currently in the making at Madhouse, and it should premiere in April. So I doubt they'll terminate the manga anytime soon (probably gonna be moved to that new magazine).
Today I've been doing some catch-up with several recent trailers that I had missed during the last week. Nothing big: just a few anime clips and Japanese promos, and some gaming trailers worthy of mentioning here on Animekon - plus many more not related to Japan's loli media culture, that I'll be posting on our imouto web-chan TVkon from tomorrow on. Until then, here we go:

Witchblade trailer

The sample above (featuring a desperate loli with a pink backpack - I dare you say "no" to that!) is our first Witchblade trailer, shamelessly snagged from FUNimation's newly opened English website dedicated to said anime series. There was also a wallpaper there, but we took that one as well.

As for the rest of today's trailers, here they are, in no particular order:

Gaming
- Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings trailer
- Shining Force EXA fortress trailer
- Valhalla Knights PSP trailer
- Fire Emblem Wii trailer (Japanese)

Anime
- Reideen trailer #3
- Reideen trailer #4
- Murder Princess promo

Update: Kung-Fu Love was also added today, this being the third animation from Studio 4°C's "Amazing Nuts!" mind-blowing collection.
In all this excitement - what with Today in Class 5-2 episode 3 and everything - I nearly forgot to point out our latest trailer from TVkon. It's been out for a while now, but I felt morally impelled to mirror it, since it's an absolute noselbeeder, whether you're into Haruhi, Yuki, or Mikuru... or all of them at once.

The trailer is the special version of the Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu ending dance, that was released with the DVD. And even though I'm not much of a dancer myself (to say the least), this is one dance I might just bother to learn. I already learned all the moves and everything, now all I gotta do is unstuck my ass from this chair - an epix quest indeed...

As I count down the bytes minutes, all trembling with expectation, like a lolicon hidden in the girls locker room before PE class, I can't help but share with you a wondrous discovery I have just stumbled upon. Remember Today in Class 5-2 (Kyou no Go no Ni), that short and fappingly sweet OVA that my pedo comrade wrote about last year, here and here? I know, it seems like (under)ages ago, and having waited all this time for the rest of the manga to be animated, I had nearly lost all hope.

But Loli Jesus showed me the light today, as I was attending to my daily prayers at the holy loli Tokyo Toshokan temple (if you don't know it - shame on you - just google it). Much to my surprise, there it was - the third episode of Today in Class 5-2! Now, before you go ruining my boner excitement, I know this might be old news for some of you (I was probably too busy wanking on Choco when it first appeared), but to the best of my knowledge this is the first fansub for said episode 3. So yer damn right it's worth posting about!

From what I can tell, the OVA's website says that the next episode will be released on March 21. Oh, and it also shows some hints at this latest (third) episode, if you can't hold it in any longer.

Now if you'll excuse me, my... uhm... online pre-order has almost arrived, so I'll be on my way. Needless to say, this is one anime you definitely can't miss, or bad things will happen to you. Like getting an over-aged girlfriend and stuff, instead of Chika here:

When I saw this piece of news up on ANS, I actually started to drool. Not in the "ZOMG Belf naked chick" kinda drool, but something more on the lines of "phear the visual effects" salivation. I may not be a big mecha fan (read: I despise all mecha shows that do not include at least one imouto chan with pink or green hair), but Appleseed was, indeed, to my liking. Don't really know why, it has plenty of robots, a story fit for some of the most underrated Doujinshi out there, and, yes, no little girls. Eh, well, it must have been the animation.

Suffice to say that a new Appleseed movie is on it's way due this Fall, entitled "Saga Ex Machina", directed by Shinji Aramaki and produced by *gasp* none other than John Woo. If you like spicy fighting scenes, Jet Li-like moves and plenty of gun fighting, then this show will be just the thing for you. Seems like the similar PS2 title, launched recently, has some connections to this movie. We will wank wait and see.
I'm full aware of the fact that we need more Japanese erogames. The question is, do we actually need live-action porn inspired from them? No offense to them hawt (and yet, overaged) Japanese missies that work so hard for hours and hours a day, just to give some folks a good boner, but I'd rather stick it in with my games. More exactly, with my visual novels. Porn has nothing to do with visual novels, unless you consider a bunch of green tentacles chasing helpless ladies around a crashed spaceship to be something... story-wise. And for god's sake, au contraire to popular belief among certain communities, real-life Japanese women do NOT have big, pink eyes, nor do they get born with natural green hair. And not all of them are actual aliens or strange, yet arousing robots, bent on destroying the world after having sex with you, countless times.

That being said, the 2002 old PC title Tsumamigui from AliceSoft is going to be viciously turn into porn. And while I do have some links that you may, or may not find interesting (depending on your sexual orientation, of course), I shall refrain myself from sharing them with you. Or not.
Last year's Sky Girls OVA brought joy into our loli-loving hearts, and drew blood out of our loli-sniffing noses. It was, however, a rather short-lived joy, because the OVA was a single 20ish minutes episode. And with such a pedolicious cast of characters, a full-fledged anime series quickly became an imperative necessity.

Such a series was previously hinted by some folks from J.C. STAFF (who animated the OVA), and now - thanks to ANS - we finally have an official confirmation from Konami, as they reveal a new "Road to Sky Girls" section on the series' website. There doesn't seem to be much info about the actual TV series, such as the number of episodes, or when it will premiere. But we'll sure keep an eye out for when that happens, and let you lolicons know.

It took me two whole years of World of Warcraft to forget about my Final Fantasy mania, but only a few minutes of watching my pedo comrade play FFX on his PS2 last night (with ample booze on the side), to revive my perfectly healthy obsession with Yuna. So now that I'm back in business, let us itadakimaaaasu dig into Square's latest announcements, regarding the upcoming European release of Final Fantasy XII this February 23. Fluffy Moogles and cosplaying included!
