And yet again, from the world of "HAI GUSY LOL IMA GAEM AND I WATN TO BEE ANIEM", the guys at Cross-Net have announced that Ayakashi, a visual novel game launched somewhere in 2005, will get an anime makeover. You can browse the series' official website here, featuring some random blue haired dude with a dangerously looking mecha arm, one Megatron wannabe and, of course, the usual pissed off lolita. A trailer can be downloaded from the same site, until my pedo comrade wakes up from his deep slumber and decides to upload it on chibi-kun. I mean TVkon. Say hello. In Australia, a man has plead guilty to four charges in connection with importing anime and Japanese videogames that included child pornography and depicted scenes of sexual violence. 22-year-old Bao Peng Lim, who will be fined 9,000 Australian dollars (about US$8,000), could have been sentenced to as much as ten years in prison. As Lim was entering Australia on a flight from Singapore in April 2006, customs officers searched Lim's luggage and found eight DVDs containing anime child pornography. A search of his house turned up another 14 DVDs. According to customs official Richard Janeczko, all images of offensive sexual conduct — including child pornography, whether actual or drawn/animated — are prohibited from being brought into the country under Australian laws such as the 1956 Customs (Prohibited Import) Regulations. And all this time I thought Australia is made of win, being a country composed of ex-convicts, war criminals and rugby players. Now my perfect universe is shattered, and I know for a fact that Australia actually has some laws that make lolicons an endangered species. If that individual wanks on anime material, for humanity's sake, let him and don't question his sexual orientation. Hell, there are people out there who actually have sex with black people, and no one blames them. From ANNThere is this tiny MMORPG called Maple Story, a game that I used to play a while back. Not too much though, since I already am obsessed and hooked on World of Warcraft (yes, I know, my social skills must suck badly). Maple Story is pretty simple and straightforward, it's visual style is anime-ish, and its gameplay is easy to comprehend. TV Tokyo recently announced that will fill up the timeslot currently hold by Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann with a new animated series, inspired by Maple Story, starting with October 7 (in Japan, of course), more exactly at 8:30 a.m. time. From what Nexon said (Nexon being the game's Japanese maintainer), it seems that Madhouse will be responsable for the animation. We shall wait and see what future holds. I know this has absolutely nothing to do with Anime, but I just have to share it with you. It's about Wikipedia and the people who edit it. Now, for starters, I would like to share with you my feelings about that site - I find it to be... well, made for lazy people, retards, and Americans who believe in Discovery Channel. As someone used to say, Wikipedia is like the Bible: all is good and dandy, until some retard comes and screws it up, thinking he's the son of God. According to an article on Wired, Wikipedia is being edited by whoever finds it necessary to do it. This includes CIA, members of the Congress (wose gayness I shall not debate here), companies like Microsoft, in short, all those who think that the info stored there is... not well suited for their needs. So I ask you then, what good does this site do, when even Hitler can come and edit his entry, stating that he likes kitties and little sisters? How can some people still find it trustworthy? WiredAnime, manga, and various other Japanese belongings are best used for making people happy. That is a fact. While measuring our „happiness" is different from person to person, one company, Pfizer Incorporated (folks responsable for teh one and only awesome product for lazy people called Viagra), decided to use the popularity of manga to... help people with erectile dysfunctions. The said manga is called Nisemono? and it's being delivered here, by Hiroshi Motomiya (Salaryman Kintaro, Ore no Sora). Seems that this thing is working as intended, as the site's traffic went boom after just days of it being serialised. Well... We all know manga is made of win. They need some lolis there though. Thanks, Comipress. You are made of win, also. And it's the same report from TBS Anime Festa 2007 mentioned earlier, that informs us about a new xxxHOLiC series making its way to TV screens in Japan. At some blurry point in the future. Same production staff, same cast, and nothing more to say about it, for now. If you had enough time on your hands to watch the original show last year, you'll probably want to start holding your breath, right about now. I for one would rather hold something more lolicious. I mean, hold my breath for something more lolicious. With the Clannad movie premiere delayed to mid September, we are finally given a date for when the TV anime series should start airing. As announced at TBS Anime Festa 2007, the Clannad anime will begin on October 4, and Moon Phase also has a few notes of uninterest about the new / remixed OP and ED songs. Later on, they also share their thoughts about episode 1, which we'd rather wait and see for ourselves instead. A rough translation a la Google of the entire story can be found here, should you give a flying fudge. This show just gets better and better! Not only did it earn itself an epic censorship here and there, and in various other places... but lately it's been getting so naughty, that I wouldn't be surprised if it stopped airing altogether on TV. The latest reason of brouhaha around Moetan is the no-longer-upcoming episode 6, according to a story picked up by Canned Dogs. Apparently, this episode would have served so much fanservice next week, that the producers had to replace it with an "episode 5.5" (nothing but a recap), to be followed ignorantly by episode 7. Therefore, the only way to see episode 6 will be to buy the DVD when it's released - or to procure it off the internets, through unorthodox means. I bet that loli Jesus would have approved it. |
