Now that's a nice rumor! According to some dubious 2ch source, a new Darker than Black TV anime series will start airing in Japan from October! The report claims that the third anime (not counting the 2010 OVA) will be titled Darker than Black: Nanpou no Houkou - among other alternative spellings for the subtitle, which roughly translates to "Wandering through the South".

Some staff names are also being indicated, but since the claims are purely anonymous for now, we're better off waiting for a more official notice on this matter. (...)

Some solid piece of Evangelion news, at last! Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's sci-fi mecha manga series Neon Genesis Evangelion will have its 13th volume released on November 2, 2012, publisher Kadokawa Shoten has announced. This may or may not be the manga's final volume... Meanwhile, Evangelion 3.0 is still vaguely planned for this fall.

Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo

The last month also brought a slew of utterly useless Eva "news", invovling everything from GPS systems and smartphones, to inflatable ponies, razor stands, guide dogs and (...)

Today's update of the official website for Code Geass: Akito the Exiled is announcing the release date - the limited theatrical premiere, that is - for this upcoming OVA's first episode: August 4. This is in line with last week's report that finally revealed the anime's format as a 4-episode OVA, with a release timeframe starting from this summer.

Code Geass: Akito the Exiled

Ask not what the criteria behind this "top 10" is: truth be told, these simply happen to be the 10 eroge that were already listed in the local games database for an April 27 release. However, they are certainly among the most promising titles - out of the many others - releasing today in Japan, including the highly anticipated sequel D.C. III: Da Capo III, the highly lolicious Monobeno, or the highly delayed Shiny Days.

Other than slipping a personal note about my sleazy interest in Monobeno, more so than in any of the other titles, I wouldn't really anticiapte a solid ranking for this eroge lot. So I'll just list them in alphabetical order and invite you to inspect each of them (...)

A Karneval anime adaptation is being announced on the cover of volume 9 from Touya Mikanagi's josei-fantasy manga series of the same title. This latest volume has just been released today in Japan, and so has the series' 5th drama CD, for that matter. No details about the anime seem to be known at this time.
