All I can say just now is WOOT! Guess what? Your all-time favorite loli tsundere will return to molest our asses with her bad attitude – The official Japanese homepage for Shakugan no Shana has announced plans for a sequel. Well, suffice to say that I am very curious about the new ways Nietono no Shana will be once more used to endlessly torment Yuji. Or the new and exciting ways melon bread can be munched down on Yuji’s head. Or the truth behind Margery Daw’s breast implants. And if Yuji is still a virgin.

I would hit Shana.
What would you do if a hawt goddess would emerge into your room through the mirror? Hell, I know what I would do, i would make her grant me all sorts of wishes, from ending world hunger giving me absolute power over mankind to world peace world domination. Well, the good thing right now is that ADV Films launched their Ah! My Goddess 2 official website, inviting you to see the trailers (also here and here on TVkon), some screenshots, art, and other related thinks that may, or may not, bore you to death.

It was far back, in April 1997, when the nightmare took off. For that matter, next month is a perfect oportunity for Japan to celebrate this nightmare (like they do with all nightmares), throughout a series of special events, carefully planned to subdue the entire nation by throwing Pikachus all over the place. Here on ANN, you can read throughout the boring long story of Rica Matsumoto, who seems to have played the role of Satoshi the entire series.

This show has outlived many young girls out there…
Now here’s a bit of a change from the usual manga-to-anime news. As you might / should know, Makoto Shinkai’s latest animation Byousoku 5 Centimeter (5 cm per second) debuted this month in Japan, and we can barely abstain ourselves from watching the first of the three stories fansubbed so far, while stocking up on tissues for the full movie. And thanks to our favorite Shinkai fansite, as of today we can how look forward to another one of his works - though somewhat static this time around.

During a nearly hour-long interview posted on the official 5cm website, and available for online viewing (until April 6), Shinkai reveals that he will serialize a Byousoku 5cm novel in the Da Vinci magazine. He made the announcement right at the end of his interview (see the stream from minute 53:00), so didn’t go into any details, aside from saying that the first episode will be released in April.

If you don’t plan on watching the whole thing, at least jump to minute 12:00 and wait a few seconds… Would you hit that?
What began as an orgasmic week for prepubescent fans of Studio Ghibli, with the announcement of Hayao Miyazaki’s new animation film “Gake no ue no Ponyo” (Ponyo On A Cliff), has since been tainted with all sorts of nasty gossips involving plagiarism, Miyazaki’s obsession for his failed director son, and worst of all, an accute lack of lolis from his future-ex-secret project, Ponyo.

Miyazaki (senior) is of course Studio Ghibli’s most prominent figure, having been credited with animation films such as Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle most recently, and classics such as Nausicaa, Laputa and Totoro. But at 66 years of age, it seems that his inspiration is running dry, since Gake no ue no Ponyo clearly draws from Andersen’s age-old tale “The Little Mermaid”. The film’s story is about a 5-year old boy named Sousuke, and his goldfish princess Ponyo, who yearns to become human (but as you can see from the picture below, has a long way to go…).

Ponyo will be drawn freely in watercolors, giving it a rather boring classic look. The film will mostly take place in the ocean, and Miyazaki-san plans to animate water and waves in exciting ways. As a downside, it seems that the production will last about 20 months, which is significantly longer than Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle. (...)

As I quietly code my ass off for the new Animekon .v2 website (oh yeah, it’s coming!), leaving me poor pedo comrade in charge of keeping things alive around here, I can at least take a break to bring forth the first promo trailer for the upcoming Clannad movie TV series. It’s based on Key’s game of the same title, animated by Kyoto Animation and with character designs done by Kadonosono Megumi, who also worked on the Kiddy Grade series. And as luck would have it, this trailer here confirmed our recent loli suspicions to the fullest. It’s looking hawt!

See for yourself, it’s a kind of a newsflash! Japanese people love anime and manga just as much as they love their little sisters. And their neighbor’s sisters. And the Japanese box office charts are here to prove it, as half of the films in this top ten were, last week, somehow related to the anime/manga phenomenon. The newly released Doraemon film, Doraemon: Nobita’s Great Adventure Into the Underwearworld, ranked first, closely (and shamelessly) followed by the live action film, Battery (some adaptation after a baseball manga by Atsuko Asano). The eight piece of crap of One Piece was in the fourth position, with Dororo, another live action adaptation after Osamu Tezuka’s manga, ranked eighth. In the ninth place we had Sakuran - some movie made after historical fiction manga by Moyocco Anno.

It seems that the only “normal” film in these charts (and by normal I mean not related in any way to little girls or little girls’ underwear), was Genghis Khan: To the Ends of the Earth and Sea, also translated as “Genghis Khan: I had it all, then I was so dumb as to go battle the Europeans. Shame on me.”
The official Japanese website for Red Garden proudly announces that a Red Garden OVA, entitled “Dead Girls”, will hit the mother market somewere on August the 8th. Dead girls, eh? Well, we all know about the holy saying “dead girls don’t say no”, but is this really a way to attract customers? I never saw the original show, but the plot seems rather interesting. Mayhap I will give a try.

Hmm… dead girls don’t say no, but do they like doing it from behind?
After understanding that not all the anime obsessed people have mastered the delightful Japanese language, Toei Animation Inc. decided to re-launch their English website. Currently, this one hosts info about some random show of theirs, with the promise that, in the near future, we will have access to goodies such as trailers, downloads, wallpapers, and much more.

Animekon approves of this, as long they don’t forget about us lolicons.
In your endless wanking sessions, you must have passed by Dokuro-chan. You know, a small, cute, blue-haired angel, with a club that hits really hard. With spikes. You have a serious pedophile that will invent, when he grows up, some stuff that turns all women into little girls (hence, making them worthwhile), you have your imouto-like angel, you have your dose of great comedy, hell, that show is probably the only one I’ve watched hundreds of times without getting bored (of fapping on the same chick). And I still am. And yes, listening to a song that emphasizes on pipirupipirupi is something to be noted. The point is, it will have a sequel. Soon. So be prepared for some club-bashing.
