Last update - Jun 11, 11:58 GMT (06:58 EST, 03:58 PST) Publisher Takeshobo has announced in its Monthly Manga Club magazine that the TV anime series (of shorts) Yurumates 3D will continue with a second season. A broadcast timeframe wasn't mentioned at this time, but given that the ongoing first season is planned up to June 26, it's possible for the second one to march straight on from July 2012. Update: Indeed, it's starting this July, and it's titled Yurumates 3D +. The only details revealed about the second season of Yurumates 3D are that Sae's younger sister will make her appearance, and that she will be voiced by (...) Over a month ago, Dengeki G's Magazine and Aniplex jointly launched a viral campaign for a new anime project, with teasing clues hinting at a bishoujo sci-fi action anime whose heroine would be a 14-year-old girl. This week, the veil has finally been lifted, revealing an original TV anime series called Vividred Operation, in the works at studio A-1 Pictures, with director / character designer Kazuhiro Takamura ( Strike Witches). As previously hinted, this upcoming anime will be set in a peaceful world where science has solved all problems. The story kicks off on an island teeming with (...) Old news, indeed. But for whatever it's still worth, a new TV anime series titled Mangirl! was announced earlier this month, as an adaptation of Kagari Tamaoka's four-panel manga originally titled Soukan! Comic Earth Star Henshuu-bu (Launch! Comic Earth Star Editors). The anime is being created by studio Dogakobo, whose upcoming projects also include the Yuru Yuri 2 sequel and Natsuyuki Rendezvous, both airing from July. The Mangirl! anime, however, is only expected for 2013. The original manga's story follows the daily life of naive Editor-in-Chief Hana and "Japan's cutest manga editors" (...) The official website for the upcoming OVA sequel Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Finale has just revealed the release dates for the OVA's four planned episodes. The first Blu-ray and DVD volume will be out in Japan on August 29, and the others will follow on a monthly basis - on September 26, October 31 and November 28, respectively. Like the first two TV anime series that aired in 2008 and 2009, this third anime adaptation is also based on Yusaku Igarashi's school / comedy / romance light novel series (...) The official website for this summer's TV anime series Chouyaku Hyakunin Isshu: Uta Koi. has been updated with several bits of news. They're mostly irrelevant stuff, but among them is also the announcement of the anime's broadcast starting date in Japan - set for July 2. Additionally, a new key visual is now being displayed there, as well as below (essentially leaving you with no reason to bother visiting the official page, how convenient!). This TV anime adaptation, simply known as Uta Koi., was announced back in March. Studio TYO Animations is creating it, based on a historical josei (for women) manga (...) The upcoming TV anime series Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse, previously known to be starting this summer, now has a firm TV premiere date: July 1. The announcement was made at a stage event where various production artworks were also shown (see them all further down below), and the event also included some singing. You can watch the whole thing on YouTube, if you have nothing better to do with 45 minutes of your life. The animation studios Satelight and Ixtl are co-creating this anime, based on the eroge, novel and manga adaptations of the same title (and in particular (...) Last update - May 10, 12:01 GMT (07:01 EST, 04:01 PST) Reports from the Japanese blogosquid are showing a certain magazine scan announcing that this July will bring a proper TV anime series of Upotte!! - the ongoing web-anime that's been streaming on NicoNico (and on Crunchyroll as well) since last month. Hopefully this upcoming Upotte!! TV anime will be a brand new series, not just a rerun. Aside from this, there's also an Upotte!! OVA coming in October 2012, as a Blu-ray bundle with the 4th volume of Kitsune Tennouji's manga that spawned these adaptations. (...) Continue reading 'Upotte!! TV Anime Announced For July'...
