Well, the title says it all. And when I say "all", I mean it: there's really not much more we know about this new Lupin OVA, other than it should be released on DVD in spring 2008. The official Japanese website mentions something about a presentation held at the Akihabara UDX 3D Theater a little while ago, but since we weren't invited, the best we can produce is this (edited) pic to remind us all of that good ol' grandson-of-a-pyro skirt-chaser.
Milla Jovovich is hot. And, as of this Saturday, she is the mother of her first child, a baby girl weirdly named Ever Gabo Anderson (we'll just call her Ga'o, and eagerly wait her to turn 12). That said, we probably won't see Milla in another Resident Evil movie too soon... But don't worry, there's more RE horror goodness on the way, starting with the Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles game launching this month for the Wii, followed next year by a newly announced CG animation, and a manga! So far, Capcom and Sony Pictures only revealed that the first full-length CG animation film based on the Resident Evil franchise (Biohazard in Japan) will be titled Biohazard: Degeneration, and will feature "groundbreaking visual effects and a brand-new story line". As for the manga - Biohazard: The Umbrella Chronicles: Prelude to the Collapse - this will actually debut in just a couple of days, in the Weekly Shonen Champion magazine according to ANN. They say that the manga's two-installment arc (rather short) "will recount the fall of the ubiquitous Umbrella bioengineering corporation with the first game's Chris and Jill as main characters. The manga will tie into a Nintendo Wii game which will be released worldwide this month."
Apart from those 10 Animes Coming In 2008 briefly listed last month, another intriguing title is Mnemosyne: Mnemosyne no Musume-tachi. It's supposed to be a pretty dark themed anime, with plenty of horror / supernatural elements, and just a tiny bit of hawtness on the side - as sampled on the newly opened Mnemosyne website. Along with this notice, ANN also dropped some of the names working on this anime (including Noein writer Hiroshi Ohnogi), as well as the story: "The story revolves around a Tokyo woman named Rin, an assassin named Laura that is hunting her down, and the series of bizarre incidents involving angel-like creatures." Mnemosyne is produced by Genco and animated by Xebec (a Production I.G subsidiary studio), and should start airing at some point in 2008.
It breaks my heart to blame a loli trio like the naughty Kojikan girlies for anything, but I don't have much of a choice. After seeing this on Canned Dogs (yep, old news) and watching a couple of YouTube vids, it's pretty obvious that the Kodomo no Jikan ED is not entirely original. If you were ever drunk enough to listen to The Offspring, you'll notice that their song "One Fine Day" bears a little bit too much resemblance to the Kodomo no Jikan ED theme. And ironically enough, it fits the animation like a strawberry-flavoured condom. Here, listen and see it for yourself. Of course, no self-pleasured self-respected otaku gives a fluffy shit about all this. All they want to see is moar pix with the Kojikan lolis. So of course, we abide. And the Pedobear Seal of Approval goes to...Update: Both YouTube videos linked above have been removed, but there's also a direct comparison clip between the two songs. Thanks frozenpandaman for the link.
What to do when you're overwhelmed by all the new animes premiering these days, not to mention the ones that have already aired this year? Well, I'm sure lots of naughty things come to mind, but here's another one: how about take a peep into the future, and see some of the new shows lined up for 2008. You surely know some of them by now, but there are also a few that seem to have only been announced this month. So, here goes: (...) Continue reading '10 Animes Coming In 2008'...
Not so far in the past, my pedo comrade informed you about the Japanese TV stations (Toukai and Saitama) that stopped airing Higurashi, due to certain violent behavior (that, for any sane person, did not have anything to do either with this show, either with School Days). Now, we are facing yet another problem - the Saitama network just cancelled the broadcast of none other than the King of Loli Kings, the only one reason for us to browse the anime torrents this year (that, and the random loli porn we can sometimes manage to grab from there), Kodomo no Jikan. Apparently, they kinda not agree with what's happening in the show (ah well, it is about a *very* young girl who wants to get raped by her teacher), so they just cancelled it, even after the producers censored some of the content. No worries though, the show will (hopefully) be aired by the other Japanese television companies. Fuck you, Saitama. How could you cancel such a thing?
Ask not how I got my trembling hands on these here pictures, and ask not what the hell I was doing on that website in the first place. Such irrelevant thoughts will soon perish, once you feast your eyes on the hottest Suzumiya Haruhi cosplaying photos ever. Yes, I know, it's no Yuki, or even Mikuru, but you won't hear me complain! Not when I got my hands full of... ... tissues. P.S. It just so happens that we have a new Haruhistic trailer up on chibi-kun, for the upcoming PSP game Suzumiya Haruhi no Yakusoku (The Promise of Haruhi Suzumiya).
Not even a year has passed since Geneon was teasing us to touch the G-Spot and join their online fanclub, and now they're about to close it shut. This morning we received an e-mail in which Geneon's Chad Kime informs us that they "will be closing the Geneon Spot as part of the restructuring of Geneon USA business". You know, that "ADV + Geneon = Love" deal from a little while ago? Well, by now fans can no longer order animes and other stuff from Geneon, but to ease their pain (and give them a flicker of hope), the company's big boss, Eiji Orii sends along this following letter: (...) Remember Gaia Online? Oh, wait... we never actually wrote about, did we? Shame, real shame. Well, suffice to say it's a cute web-based online game, letting you dress your anime-styled character in pink clothes and do all sorts of silly things, which tend to get boring a little too soon, though. Ah well, at least they have an online cinema of sorts, where players can meet, chat, and watch a film at the same time. "The program for this evening is not new, you've seen this entertainment through and through", as the song goes, but for those of you who haven't seen Kiddy Grade yet, now's your chance to catch a glimpse of Lumiere's pedolicious pantsu! As ANN tips us, the Gaia Cinemas are currently screening the first two episodes of Kiddy Grade. And I have to admit, it's pretty fun to ruin the other viewers' experience, so why don't you go give it a try? Just make sure you have a high tolerance to crappy English dubs...
... But one has to wonder: for how long? As some many of you surely know, a vicious axe murder from last week prompted almost all Japanese TV stations who were airing the School Days anime to cancel the last episode (at least temporarily), since it too is said to contain ample amounts of blood. In its place, various harmless things where shown to the horrified viewers, including - but not limited to - nice boats. The phrase itself, "nice boat" has quickly become something of a meme and it even made the news, while the fans helplessly watched one TV station after another losing their mediatic balls. Aside from episode 12 of School Days, episode 11 of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai was also taken off TV by some. Then, just a few days ago, irony - and another bloody axe - struck again, as a 15 year old boy tried to chop his father's head with an axe. Luckly, he failed, and his father still has his head attached to the rest of his body (for now). But most importantly, Higurashi continues to be aired as intended. And the last episode of School Days will also get to see the light of day tomorrow, on AT-X - the sole TV station with balls, it seems. Thanks to Canned Dogs for keeping track of this hallucinating course of events. P.S. Nice boat!
