Queen's Blade the anime series is based on the fantasy combat picture book games of the same title, in which players simulate turn-based fighting with books that each represent a character. The fantasy action / ecchi anime version is created by studio ARMS and produced by GENCO. The first season aired in Japan from April 2, 2009, with the second season (Queen's Blade: Gyokuza no Tsugumono) following from September 24, 2009.
