The three-decade old Yatterman franchise returned in August 2009 with a new anime film, impossibly titled Gekijouban Yatterman: Shin Yatter Mecha Daishuugou! Omocha no Kuni de Daiketsdan da Koron!. This latest story brings together new Yatter Mecha for the Yatterman duo of heroes to use in their fight against evil.
