Cobra The Animation marks the revival of the ancient Cobra: The Space Pirate anime from 1982, with a suite of anime projects produced by studio Magic Bus. These include two new OVAs (The Psychogun in 2008 and Time Drive in 2009), plus a new TV anime series that began airing in Japan from January 2, 2010. In the new story, the once-famous space pirate Cobra decides to change his face and erase all his memories. He becomes a common guy, with a common job, and a boring life... until he starts remembering his true identity. That's when his new adventures begin.
