Armored Trooper Votoms: Alone Again (Soukou Kihei Votoms: Koei Futatabi) is one of three new Votoms OVA projects revealed in early 2010, produced as usual by studio Sunrise. This one will be a direct sequel to the 1994 OVA series Armored Trooper Votoms: Shining Heresy, based on a novel written Ryousuke Takahashi (director of the original TV series). The story begins at an oasis, where Chirico (the main character of the first VOTOMS series) will reunite with his old friend Gotho and other characters after 32 years. The OVA was initially previewed at a Votoms event in January 2011, before being released on Blu-ray and DVD on April 22, 2011.
