At last, the first preview trailer for the long-delayed visual novel Mahoutsukai no Yoru, currently in the works at Type-Moon, and featuring a theme song by supercell. The game is based on an earlier light novel written by Type-Moon co-founder Kinoko Nasu (who went on to write Tsukihime and Fate/stay night). Although the novel was originally written in 1996, it wasn't until 2008 that a (non-ero) visual novel adaptation was finally announced... and later delayed on several occasions. The story is set near the end of the Showa Era, in the late 1980s, and is focused around an old mansion where two witches are rumored to live: Aoko Aozaki, who just started learning sorcerey, and her teacher Alice Kuonji. As if guided by an invisible string of fate, a young boy called Souichirou Shizuki joins them, and a strange commmunal life begins... The game's current release timeframe is a vague 2011.
