The original anime project Towa no Kuon is created by studio Bones as a collection of six films, and was originally meant to be directed by the late Umanosuke Iida. In his place, Takeshi Mori is serving as the "collaborative director" for this seemingly sci-fi anime, involving some sort of alternate-dimension gate. The story follows a boy named Quon and others who suddenly wake up with supernatural powers. The first Towa no Quon anime film premieres in Japan on June 18, 2011, with each of the next five films following roughly one month apart, throughout November 2011.
