| Trailers archive - March 2008 - page 3 A trailer for the "super-dimensional original science-fiction anime" Amuri in Star Ocean, whose first DVD is set for a May 23 release in Japan. The 3D modeled anime is set in Year 019 of the Insonity Progressive Revolution - a future era in which mankind has evolved into a new species called Adapters. Three very young Adapter girls from Japan, China and France set out on a space adventure that will affect the rest of their species.
Majodou (Witch's Way) is an eroge developed by studio G.J? (Good Job) and designed by Sano Toshihide. In the game, the protagonist attends a school where one day he discovers that four of his classmates are witches - from Japan, USA, Holland and Germany respectively - and is tasked with keeping their identities secret as they vie for the Witch's World Cup. The first trailer for The Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk, a new fantasy anime series based on the ancient arcade game The Tower of Druaga from the '80s, and produced by Gonzo K.K. for simultaneous broadcasting on TV and online in Japan, this April 4. The trailer for the 11th Pokemon animated movie, Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl: Giratina to Sora no Hanataba (Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet), premiering in Japan on July 19. The clip features the theme song "One" by pop artist Crystal Kay, who previously sang for Fullmetal Alchemist and Nodame Cantabile. A trailer for the upcoming anime Nabari no Ou produced by Orcavision and animated by J.C. Staff, based on a modern-day ninja manga about a boy who unknowingly possesses an ancient "Omnipotent" power. (actual footage from the anime begins after about a minute into the trailer) Batman: Gotham Knight is a collection of six interlocking short stories animated by three Japanese studios (Studio 4°C, Production I.G and Madhouse), coming from Warner Bros. and producer Bruce Timm. Kaiba is a sci-fi love story from Masaaki Yuasa, the director of Mind Game and co-creator of Cat Soup (two of the most insane, sick and pure-WTF animes ever), from the equally psychotic animation studio Madhouse. A debut trailer for Street Fighter IV - the next iteration of the genre-establishing fighting game series and the first new entry announced in nearly eight years, following the acclaimed Street Fighter III Third Strike. A new promo trailer for the KimiKiss Pure Rouge, as it nears its emotional (undoubtedly) ending in Japan: only three more episodes left to go from J.C. Staff's latest school-romance anime series. Even though this trailer for the first live-action Death Note movie is dubbed in English, Viz Pictures will release the film in Japanese with English subtitles later this year, in North America. For some odd reason, the trailer also features Red Hot Chili Peppers' song "Dani California". |
