| A trailer promoting the upcoming Death Note screening event organized by VIZ Pictures and NCM Fathom, during which the Death Note live-action movie will debut on the big screen at over 300 theatres across the United States, on May 20 and 21. This special two-night event includes a specially produced 20-minute feature on how the manga translates to live-action, and an interview with director Shusuke Kaneko.

The movie's Japanese premiere is set for May 10, and meanwhile a sequel is already in the works. A movie trailer for the upcoming GeGeGe No Kitarou film, based on the long-running manga and anime series, and set to premiere on April 28 in Japan. The Dororo live action movie is an adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's classic Dororo manga and anime television series, starring Kou Shibasaki and Satoshi Tsumabuki. The film premiered in late January in Japan, and it finished #1 at the Japanese box office last weekend. The Dororo movie should also be on its way to North America, via Universal Pictures. Acclaimed music video director Susie Au is making the move to features with Ming Ming, an intriguing looking martial arts romance fueled by mistaken identity that attempts to resituate the traditional martial arts world (Jiang Wu) into contemporary Hong Kong, blending fantasy with reality in a stylish blend. |
