The TV anime Ga-Rei: Zero is based on Hajime Segawa's "non-stop after school demon action" manga series, The Enchained Spiritual Beast Ga-Rei. The story follows a high school freshman named Kensuke Nimura who can see ghosts and demons. He meets a girl named Kagura who has the ability to summon a demon-eater (a "ga-rei"), but who is actually a member of a secret government agency, one which she presses Kagura to join.
