Slap Up Party: Arad Senki is the anime adaptation of Dungeon & Fighter, some random Korean MMO known in Japan as Arad Senki. The story takes place after "the cursed light of Kazan" has fallen upon the continent of Arad. The ghost knight Baron vows to unravel the secret of the curse that has possessed one of his arms, and a motley assortment of characters joins him on his quest. The predictably generic anime series is being produced by Gonzo, and it will start airing in Japan and Korea during 2009.

The Quiz Magic Academy: The Original Animation is based on a series of arcade trivia games by Konami. The OVA is animated by studio AIC, with a script and direction handled by the guys behind Amaenaideyo!! and School Days. The last part sounds promising, but the title doesn't.

Count and Fairy (Hakushaku to Yousei) is a new anime series premiering in Japan on October 10. It's based on a girlish fantasy light novel series set in 19th century England, about a 17-year-old named Lydia Carlton whose fascination with fairies led to her nickname, the "Fairy Doctor". While sailing to London, Lydia encounters Edgar J.C. Ashenheart, the Count of the Blue Knights, and joins him on his search for the sword of his family lineage.

The Gundam MS IGLOO 2: Gravity's Warfront (Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO 2: Juuryoku Sensen) is a 3D CG mecha OVA anime, sequel to the earlier Gundam MS IGLOO film series and video series. The new MS IGLOO 2 project will present ground combat from the opposing Earth Federation side, unlike the prequels which focused of the Zeon forces (the antagonists of the One-Year War of the First Gundam series).

The first trailer showing footage from the new anime series Kannagi premiering this October, based on the supernatural comedy manga Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens. The story begins when an art student named Jin Mikuriya carves a statue from the wood of the Kannagi tree - only to have the statue come to life. The original tree happened to be possessed by a goddess, who has now taken over the statue. Jin finds himself being dragged around as "Nagi" goes around taking care of the duties of a goddess.

The girly anime Vampire Knight is about an academy whose students are divided into the "regular" Day Class and the "elite" Night Class. Yuki Cross, the adopted daughter of the headmaster, is one of the few people in the entire school who knows that the Night Class students are vampires.

Having fun in school, doing together homework, cooking and eating, playing videogames, watching anime. All those little things make up the daily life of the anime- and chocolate-loving Izumi Konata and her friends which is portrayed here. Sometimes relaxing but more than often simply funny! Lucky Star is based on a 4-koma manga by Yoshimizu Kagami, serialised in Comptiq.

A footage-less debut trailer for Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei, the third anime in the superlative horror series Higurashi, which will be released between December 2008 and August 2009 as a 5-episode OVA, billed as the "fateful final chapters".

The debut trailer, with no actual anime footage, for Umineko no Naku Koro ni (When Seagulls Cry) - the first in what may well become another excellent horror anime series, based on the doujin visual novels by 07th Expansion (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni). So far, this new "When They Cry" sub-series spawned two games in 2007, with a third one currently in the making. Umineko takes place during the early days of October 1986, on a secluded island named Rokkenjima, where 18 people remain trapped by a typhoon. Shortly afterwards, they start to get mysteriously murdered...

Michiko to Hatchin is a "next-generation collaboration of Latino beat animation", and the third original anime project from studio manglobe (Samurai Champloo, Ergo Proxy). The title's Michiko is a free-willed "sexy diva" who destroys a supposedly inescapable prison fortress, while Hatchin is a girl fleeing her strict foster parents.
